How long does it take to get meditation?

I really can’t seem to get into it I’ve read a few books on it watched videos on it and practiced it and I just can’t seem to grasp it. How long does it take to get the flow of it? I mean I get the concept of it but I don’t get it actually doing it, it’s hard to explain.
